Conservative-led Shropshire Council has paved the way for householders to request an additional wheelie bin for recycling cans, glass and plastic at the kerbside.
The bin – which is optional and free – will replace the existing black recycling boxes, and help to increase the amount of waste recycled by providing households with a larger container.
The rollout to households will begin in May 2022 with the entire rollout taking approximately 6 months. To request a bin Households should visit: https://shropshire.gov.uk/requestmixedrecyclingbin
Councillor Ian Nellins, Conservative Shropshire Councillor said: "This is just one more example of this council listening to residents and improving the services they rely upon."
