On Friday 23rd June members of our Patrons Club enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Iron Works, Oswestry hosted by Clive and Tracey Knowles.
Members were able to socialize and view many of the amazing iron sculptures that are on show whilst enjoying canapes and wine to the accompaniment of live jazz.
Our patrons play an important role in supporting North Shropshire Conservative Association and in raising vital funding that can be used to promote the Conservative Party in our constituency.
Following the loss of North Shropshire to the Liberal Democrats at the last bi-election and the results of the recent bi-elections in Selby, Somerset and North London it is vitally important that we should raise funding to support our party to fight the forthcoming national election scheduled for the autumn in 2024.
It is reassuring that we now have Simon Baynes, M.P. as a very worthy and experienced prospective candidate to represent North Shropshire at the next parliamentary election but we cannot expect to win back the seat without the hard work and support of our members.
Now is the time to start mobilizing efforts to raise funds to support a publicity campaign so that we are fully prepared to regain North Shropshire for the Conservative Party from the Liberal Democrats. If you are reading this and are not a member of the Patrons Club please consider joining us.
Membership details can be obtained from Roger Hammond, our President, or myself. We currently have 120 members of Patrons but with many more paid up members of the Conservative Party in North Shropshire there is room for growth of the Patrons Club.
Our next event will be a Sunday lunch on November 19th 2023 at Hawkstone Hall Hotel, Weston, SY4 5UZ. Places are limited to 60 so please book early to avoid disappointment by contacting Roger Hammond (Email: roger@regentdesignsltd.co.uk).
I look forward to meeting our members again in November at Hawkstone Hall.
