Conservatives in Oswestry: Campaign to Save Oswestry Post Office
Local Conservatives in Oswestry are spearheading efforts to Save Oswestry Post Office, which has been identified as one of 115 larger ‘crown branches’ at risk of closure by the Post Office.
The potential closure of Oswestry’s Post Office would have a serious impact on our community. It threatens to leave many residents without easy access to essential postal and banking services, which are particularly critical for elderly residents, small businesses, and those without access to reliable public transport.
Oswestry Post Office is not just another branch. It provides vital services for residents, from postal needs to bill payments and financial transactions. For businesses, it’s the only local branch offering the full range of services they depend on to operate smoothly.
Les Maguire, along with other Conservatives in Oswestry, is urging residents to join the fight by signing the petition and making their voices heard. “This is not about politics – it’s about standing together as a community to protect a service that so many of us rely on,” says Les.
We are encouraging everyone to show their support by adding their names to the petition, which will be presented to the Chief Executive of the Post Office to amplify the voices of Oswestry residents and demonstrate the strength of feeling across the town and surrounding areas.
Let’s work together to ensure Oswestry Post Office remains open for the benefit of everyone who relies on it.
